One of the many timepieces auctioned at last November’s Only Watch event was this Chopard Alpine Eagle Xl Chrono.
The one-of-a-kind watch features a granite dial sourced from the Graubünden region of Switzerland and was sold for 80k Swiss francs (around 321k AED). Christie’s hosted the auction, and as the hammer fell for the last time, the 2021 edition had raised over 30m Swiss francs (120m AED), with 99% of the proceeds going directly to research into muscular dystrophies.
