Burrasca is the Italian word for storm; a fitting name for this exceptional, supersport craft which is shaking up the aqua bike world. Created by the motorsport designers at the Austrian manufacturer Belassi, this 320 horsepower PWC is in a class of its own. “From the very beginning, our goal has been to produce more than just a personal watercraft,” explains Waldemar Pöchhacker, Head of Sales and Marketing. “Burrasca is rather a commitment to an individual lifestyle, which is ahead of its time and constantly reaches its limits.”
The Burrasca represents the first product in a new category described by Belassi as the marine hypercraft, and it was created for a new breed of PWC owners. “The personal watercrafts available on the market were simply too ordinary, too cheaply made, with too much plastic and poor driving performance,” commented Pöchhacker. “That’s why we decided to develop an exclusive, high quality, limited edition watercraft that clearly stands out from the crowd, comparable to a super sports car”.
At the heart of the Burrasca is an in-house developed turbocharged and intercooler three-cylinder engine that produces a colossal 320 horse power. This 1.6 litre, 4-stroke engine not only sounds like a mini Ferrari, but the distinctive howl emits through a supercar-inspired quad exhaust system. Combined with a strong, lightweight hull, the Burrasca is capable of extreme cornering forces, with the acceleration of up to 4G a possibility. That’s some serious performance and it’s enhanced with numerous carbon fibre parts. The hypercraft’s top deck, handlebars, various engine parts, high-performance exhaust, X Frame hull reinforcement, stringers and outer covers are all handmade in carbon fibre, with the F1 proven material adding to not only the looks but the Burrasca’s tight handling.
