A new studio designed to inspire the next generation of photographers is now open at Manarat Al Saadiyat, which is being led by an exhibition from Jassim Al Awadhi.
The acclaimed Emirati graduated with a Masters in Photography from Nottingham Trent University in 1999 and a B.A in Fine Arts from the University of Dayton, Ohio in 1985.
Jassim spent more than 20 years as a crime scene photographer, which has helped define his contemporary, documentary style.
Jassim has participated as the head of the photography awards jury for the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Photography Competition and Fujairah Photography Award and has also received a lifetime appreciation award for from His Highness Sheikh Khalifa, President of the UAE.
