NEREA NY24: ONE MAN’S DESIRE
While still only in his twenties, Dario Messina left his home on Sicily and headed to Italy’s Marche, a region steeped in nautical history and the home of many shipyards.

From the early 2000s, Messina starts his career in the yachting industry, learning many trades at the likes of Dominator, Cayman and the Pershing-Ferretti Group. Carpentry, plumbing and painting were just a few of the trades he picked up; skills that led him to starting his own business at the beginning of 2008, just before the economic crisis.
Servicing and refitting works for the Ferretti Group and Besenzoni kept him afloat during the dark days, and once the gradual economic recovery started in 2010, Messina cemented his entrepreneurial status becoming one of the Ferretti Group’s strategic partners. This steadfast ambition led Messina to his next step, the creation of his own ‘tailor-made’ boat and the Nerea Yacht brand was born.

THE NY24
The NY24 is the first boat moulded and built at Nerea Yacht’s facilities in Fano. Signed by the Italian designers Alessio Battistini and Davide Bernardini of ideaeITALIA, the stylish day cruiser is everything Messina wanted in a yacht.
The 7-metre craft perfectly combines modern design with great liveability and remarkable seaworthiness. Elegant lines flow through the hull, culminating in the tinted flash that hides the hull window. The teak-lined bow curves around to the slimline windscreen and finally to the NY24’s sophisticated living area.
Two stylish, swivel chairs sit behind the minimalistic dashboard and behind these is a space dedicated to relaxation. The N24’s interior spaces are there to be enjoyed and there’s ample space to sit and drink, or lie down and enjoy the sun.
Head down the central stairs and the cabin has everything you need for a day out at sea. A large container sofa can be converted into a double berth, making overnighters a possibility and natural light isn’t a problem as the skylight, long hull windows and the central glass hatch all combine to create a feeling of openness rare in a boat of this size.
In fact, the 7.35 metre N24 is so versatile that it’s offered in three configurations – the sporty GT, the luxury Deluxe and the Limo, with its bow seating and garage friendly profile. However you chose to use it, you will see the vision of Messina in every detail.
