The new brand of Olympic Marine’s established shipyard will bring its first production model, the OT60, to Düsseldorf for BOOT 2024.

Defining a new category of yachts, the new model’s first appearance at the world’s largest yacht and watersports show signals its breakout from the Mediterranean into the wider market. The remarkable growth of the OT60 and its unique concept is driven by the universal desire for a simple, sensible vision of sustainability.

Omikron Yachts will feature the OT60 at BOOT Düsseldorf 2024, to be held from the 20th to the 28th of January.

The shipyard’s inaugural model offers a uniquely desirable hybridization – the efficiency and silence of a sailing yacht with the volumes and convenience of a motor yacht. In line with the yacht’s dual identity, which appeals to yachtsmen of both schools, she will be displayed in the sailing section of the show. Indeed, owners who appreciate sailing yachts for the pleasurable, efficient cruising pace may find their needs better met by the OT60.

Relying on small engines optimized for cruising at 8-13 knots and up to 15 knots for swift passages, the OT60 can travel up to 1000 nautical miles with one tank at 8 knots, consuming just 1.5 liters per nautical mile.

The key to achieving these results is the custom hull designed by Juan-K, renowned studio specialized in the design of high-performance racing sailing yachts, which will be visible to the public for the first time at Düsseldorf, thanks to the dry-dock format of the boat show. A testament to the capability of the Omikron Technical Office, the OT60 is an elegant eco-cruiser, inspired by the Eastern Mediterranean island-hopping lifestyle and attractive to owners all over the world, thanks to her versatility and practicality.

The interior and exterior design is the work of Lorenzo Argento, who studied the project around the goal of a beautiful journey, which he realized in both appearance and reality.

Unexpected spaces play an important role, such as the double-deck annex for guests and the highly functional rooftop arrangement. Ciarmoli Queda Studio styled the interiors with natural materials, neutral colors, and tactile finishes, rendering every space and surface on board both comfortable and inviting.

Nikolas Dendrinos, Chairman of Olympic Marine, Omikron Yachts’ parent company, stated, “As we turn the page to 2024, our shipyard is perfectly positioned to grow into new markets – and the first leg of that journey is BOOT Düsseldorf. The OT60 was created according to the Greek island-hopping lifestyle, embodying the love of the journey with elegance and comfort at sea. We have since discovered that this distinct way of yachting has broad interest and inspires people all over to dream, which has encouraged us to extend our outreach. For us, it is not just about promoting our product, but sparking a change in the industry towards more sustainable solutions that add neither complexity nor added cost, both for the environment and for yachting enthusiasts.”
