FINNMASTER T9 GULF EDITION

We take a look at the Middle East’s latest fast boat – the Finnmaster T9 Gulf Edition.

Yachts

Many boaters in Europe know the Finnmaster brand well. Based in Finland, the shipyard builds over 1,150 boats a year and exports 83% of its products.

Ranging from 6 metres to 12 metres, Finnmasters are built in-house in three different production facilities – Sammatti, Kalajoki and Kokkola. The company was founded in 1990 by a passionate seaman and soon grew to become one of Europe’s most admired boat brands with a turnover of Euro 57.5 million. Presently, the company employs more than 220 skilled professionals and artisans who are involved in the design and construction of these exciting boats. The company’s portfolio consists of three brands, the flagship of which is the Grandezza, complimented by Finnmaster (both of which are built in fiberglass) and the Husky, which is the all-aluminum boat.

MADE FOR THE MIDDLE EAST

As part of its expansion plan, the shipyard decided to venture into the Gulf region, opting to send its most successful model here, but re-engineer it to make it suitable for the Gulf market. And so, boasting a greater AC capacity compared to that provided by local boat builders, extra Dometic- branded fridges, and UV protected glazing, the Finnmaster T9 Gulf Edition was born. Leaving no detail spared, the shipyard has crafted a boat with an award-winning formula, and talking of winners, Finnmaster has teamed up in the UAE with two-times Powerboat World Champion Sami Selio, who is currently racing for the Sharjah F1 Team.

Strong tradition: Finnmasters are a testimony of the strength that lies within the Finnish boatbuilding tradition. That heritage is passed on from generation to

SPACE

From the moment you enter the Finnmaster T9 Gulf Edition, you will be amazed by the generous space this 9-metre boat has to offer. The clever layout, cocooned within wraparound UV-protected glass, combined with excellent volume makes for a memorable onboard experience – and 12 guests are welcome. Also intriguing for the T9’s guests is the fact that once the deck spaces have been experienced, you can head down below and enjoy the two cabins, each sleeping up to four. Here, the two-part hull windows, in addition to the twin skylights offer unparalleled views of the surrounding water.

LOUNGE

Heading forward, the main seating area is the heart of the boat’s arrangement. Here, an L-shape sofa is complemented by an electric up-down table that, when down, transforms the area into a sunbed. Under the seat is ample storage space for water-toys, fenders, and a tonneau cover.

As the T9 is built specifically for the Gulf market, the standard Dometic 70-litre fridge is completed by two extra Dometic pull-out fridges situated under the shotgun seat and under the pilot seat. The galley counter offers a sink, microwave/oven, and also a large work surface for cutting your fresh produce.

Moving to the helm and there are a pair of 16-inch Garmin navigation screens that can monitor the boat’s engines, GPS system, radar, gauges and much more. Features like the auto-pilot, the Joystick Helm Master EX, Garmin plotter, electric switch buttons make life easy for the skipper and also, the Gulf Edition comes with over thirty five standard features including Zipwake trim tabs, a bow thruster, Wallas ceramic stove, and much more. With its Middle East specific features and high performance courtesy of a combined 600 horsepower, the Finnmaster T9 Gulf Edition is well worth a look.
