DAMEN SEAXPLORER 105 REVEALED

Antarctica. Svalbard. The Northwest Passage. These are the benchmarks, the most challenging cruising grounds for any yacht. But if you can get there; if you can undertake this journey safely, the rewards are indescribable and that's where Damen's SeaXplorer comes into its own.

Built for Arctic and Antarctic yachting

The SeaXplorer 105 is one serious explorer. Damen optimised the 105’s naval architecture for a wide range of ice conditions by testing the SeaXplorer model in ice laboratories and calling on Damen Research Laboratory’s experience in producing heavy-duty coast guard vessels and ice-breaking polar research ships.

The SeaXplorer complies with the IMO Polar Code category B requirements – protecting the safety of guests in up to 90cm of first-year ice. With this supreme capability, you can visit polar regions starting in the early spring when the wildlife is at its best. Towards the winter months, as the nights get longer, you can experience the northern lights (aurora borealis) or southern lights (aurora australis).

Luxury interior inspiration

For the 105’s custom interior, owners can work with a designer of their choice to create a 1,887 square metre home on the sea. For inspiration, a number of SeaXplorer interior concepts are already available to view from the likes of Carlo Torre, Winch Design and Vasiliy Shprits.

Features include a forward observation deck with 270-degree panoramic views; an outdoor cinema; a spa with an 8-metre indoor swimming and a wide selection of toys, including two  ACH 145 helos, five large tenders/chase boats up to 13 metres, snowmobiles, kayaks, and a submarine.

Rose Damen, Managing Director Damen Yachting commented: “It starts with the dream of an uncompromising individual who sees the world like no other. That’s how the SeaXplorer began. We would be delighted to help you bring the explorer dream closer to reality.”
