NEW ARRIVAL: MAJESTY 111

It was only a year ago that Gulf Craft Chairman, Mohammed Alshaali, announced that the Umm Al Quwain shipyard was working on a brand new superyacht named the Majesty 111.

The design concept images disclosed at the press conference on the Gulf Craft stand at DIBS revealed a bold superyacht offering more than ever before in terms of its design, engineering, architecture and technical features. Cut to this year’s Dubai International Boat Show and the Majesty 111 has gone from design concept, to world debut and visitors to the Gulf Craft stand will be able to view a yacht that may well set the design precedent for all future Majesty models.

Open plan: One of the many features of the Majesty 111 is the perfect balance of indoor-outdoor spaces across the generously sized two-and-a-half decks.

DESIGN DIRECTION

Gulf Craft assigned Dutch studio Phathom with the task of creating the M111’s strong design. Well known for not having a defined ‘house style’, Phathom embraces a philosophy of breaking standards sensibly and has managed to push the M111’s aesthetic while keeping the Majesty DNA. Phathom has gone for a two-and-a-half deck design that enables huge amounts of exterior and interior space. The foredeck has been designed with enough space for a glass-bottom spa pool, sunpads, sofa and tables. Guests can then head aft to the asymmetric sky lounge where Phathom has carried the ceiling and panelling outdoors to create a truly open area that brings the feeling of indoor living outside. Here, even the loose furniture has been optimised to look outward over the water and not inwards.

Bright and airy: With a strong aesthetic flair courtesy of Dutch studio Phathom, the M111 will feature plenty of natural light and tranquil interior spaces.

Huge windows on the main deck hint to the M111’s substantial interior spaces. Coming in at 240 GT, there’s an abundance of volume which, combined with the glazing makes this Majesty one of the shipyard’s most light and airy designs to date. There is a genuine penthouse feel in the Majesty’s interior with natural light highlighting the raw, natural materials such as the unfinished oak, and the titanium metal.

Again, huge windows hint as to the lower deck’s lightness. In fact, light levels in the M111’s staterooms are similar to those of the upper decks, which is a testament to the M111’s open ethos.
