THE 43WALLYTENDER IS FAST, FUN AND VERSATILE

Today’s yacht owners are becoming more and more demanding, expecting their tenders to perform not one, but a variety of tasks, with the ability to adapt to specific entertainment needs. The days of simply ferrying guests to-and-from the marina to the swim platform are long gone and now these handy little crafts are expected to act as a family boat on weekends, a party boat for evenings and an all-out watersports boat for the rest of the time. Tender’s need to be a multi-purpose craft and the 43wallytender is a real all-rounder.

SIZE MATTERS

The tender is 13.2 metres long and 4.3 metres wide, has a lightweight carbon body and its colourways never ceases to amaze. The first 43wallytender, which debuted at a private viewing in Monaco, showed off an incredible emerald green shade. It was named Gator Green after the first iconic sailing vessel Wallygator (now Nariida) of the same colour, a sailing yacht that marked the beginning of Wally’s distinguished history.

The Wally’s distinctive and classic lines mesmerise the eye with their simplicity. It looks like a concept from the future, with sharp lines flowing aft from the bow with Wally’s signature raked windscreen and triangular overall plan. The signature dock bar wraps around the hull, ensuring protection in the marina without the need for large, bulky fenders.

Shading the tender’s occupants is a T-shaped hardtop inspired by the shipyard’s sailing heritage. Its struts and base are made of carbon fibre and the roof itself is made of laminated sail fiber, which is much lighter than other T-tops. The result is a translucent shade that saves you from the sun’s rays while not stealing sunlight from the guests.

ON DECK

Combining an iconic 25-year heritage with modern innovations, the architects have taken a fresh approach to the tender’s deck layout. There’s still the classic Wally ‘central cockpit’ but it’s now part of a considerably more obvious luxury experience.

Stepping on board the huge, broad aft platform it becomes apparent that there’s room here for all the Wally’s 12 guests. The 43wallytender does not have a dedicated aft sunpad, instead, guests can bask in the sun on the foredeck sunpad. 

The cockpit layout is the most significant change compared to the previous models. The habitable part was moved closer to the central part of the deck. This increases the safety of guests during maneuvers at high speeds.

A pull-out dining table and an L-shaped sofa allow for outdoor dining, while another sofa opposite allows for a more social space. The kitchen comes standard with a sink, refrigerator and freezer. If you’re planning big parties, then the larger refrigerator and icemaker, which are offered as options, will come in very handy.

There’s a sleeping area for two and a separate bathroom in the lower deck, but no portholes, as they would ruin the futuristic exterior.

TECH FEATURES

The carbon fibre dashboard houses two large Garmin monitors and visibility from the bridge is excellent thanks to the raked windscreen.

The 43wallytender comes with a selection of premium equipment, including the carbon top, teak flooring and opening bulwarks aft on both sides that extend the deck. And you can always opt for a more powerful generator and Seakeeper stabilizer.

Standard engines are a pair of turbo diesel Volvo Pentas that produces 380 hp, with an option of D6-440s that can push the tender up to 40 knots – plenty of smiles per horsepower for this hugely fun runabout.
