NEW FROM NAUTA DESIGN

Being UAE-based, we’ve always had a soft spot for Nauta Yachts, the studio behind Azzam’s exterior design.

Currently, the Milanese team is having a busy summer season, with a full schedule of five new-build superyacht projects currently under construction, with the following three projects being of particular interest…

WIDER YACHTS MOONFLOWER 72

Wider’s 72-metre steel and aluminium Moonflower 72 is already in-build at the Wider Superyacht Hub in Porto Marghera, Venice. For this project, Nauta designed both the exterior and interiors, for a total of 1,153 m2 of gracious space. Due for delivery in 2025, the exterior styling reflects Nauta’s trademark preference for clean, uncluttered design without fussy or superfluous detailing.

“Moonflower’s design is pure Nauta,” said Nauta’s co-founder Mario Pedol. “Modern yet timeless, she has the onboard liveability and maximum exposure to the marine environment that characterises all Nauta projects.”

CANTIERE DELLE MARCHE FLEXPLORER 146

Cantiere delle Marche are always the innovators and with its 44.5-metre Flexplorer 146, Hydro Tec took care of its exterior lines, while Nauta worked with 528 m2 of interior and exterior social spaces to give the characterful yacht even more charm. Currently in-build at CdM’s Ancona shipyard, the 146 is due for delivery next year, and we’re looking forward to see how Nauta’s interior concept images look in reality.

In early 2021 Mario Pedol and the Wider Group’s Marcello Maggi met up and discussed a new superyacht project. The contract for Moonflower was signed in January 2022.

CONRAD YACHTS PROJECT MOONLIGHT

Project Moonlight, the third hull in Conrad Yachts’ semi-custom 44-metre motoryacht series is all set to get the Nauta touch. Thanks to Y.CO’s long-standing relationship with Nauta and the introduction to one of their esteemed clients, the studio is working to deliver a bespoke design with the finest materials that incorporates the Owner’s vision, experience, and understanding of family life on board.

Nauta’s lead Architect, Guido Valtorta commented “The Owners have a very clear objective of creating an interior design that is luxurious and also practical in terms of safety, functionality and maintenance at sea.”
